114th Infantry, Regimental Color. In August 1861, Captain Charles H.T. Collis of Philadelphia raised an independent company of infantry known as the "Zouaves D'Afrique." After serving in the Shenandoah, Collis was requested to raise an entire Zouaves regiment in Philadelphia, which became the 114th PA, was organized by late July 1862. The regiment was mustered out of service on May 29, 1865. Little is known about the history of this flag.
